Frequently Ask Questions

When I am available?

Since I work full-time and photography is my passion outside of my main job, I can only offer my services on weekends—either Saturday or Sunday—and occasionally on public holidays, depending on my availability.

When should I book?

I recommend scheduling your photoshoot 2-6 weeks in advance of your preferred date. While I may sometimes be able to accommodate last-minute requests depending on my availability, I can’t guarantee it.

Weather in Melbourne

Melbourne is known for its unpredictable weather, which can be both a challenge and an advantage for photoshoots. Even if forecasts suggesting rain, we can’t be 100% sure until the day itself.

Here’s a quick breakdown by season:

1. Spring (September — November): Spring offers mild temperatures, typically between 10°C to 20°C. The gardens and parks are blooming with vibrant flowers, making it ideal for outdoor shoots. However, rain showers are common, so it’s good to have a flexible schedule or backup indoor locations.

 2. Summer (December — February): Summer is usually warm to hot, with temperatures ranging from 20°C to 35°C. This is a popular time for photoshoots, especially in the early morning or late afternoon when the lighting is softer, and the heat is less intense. However, be prepared for sudden heatwaves or thunderstorms.

3. Autumn (March — May): With temperatures between 10°C and 25°C, autumn offers beautiful golden hues as the leaves change color, creating stunning backdrops. The weather is generally stable, but you may experience cool breezes, especially towards the end of the season.

4. Winter (June — August): Winter is cool, with temperatures ranging from 5°C to 15°C. While it’s colder, the soft winter light is excellent for moody, dramatic shots, and foggy mornings can add an atmospheric touch.

Just be mindful of the rain and chilly winds.

Even if it does rain, a photoshoot in the rain can be quite enjoyable and romantic. Since rain in Melbourne is often intermittent, we can always wait for a break in the weather.

Alternatively, if you prefer, we can reschedule the shoot to a later date that suits both our schedules. My priority is ensuring you have a wonderful and comfortable experience.

What to do with your belongings?

For minimal distractions, it’s best to leave your valuable items at the hotel. Traveling light will make it easier to move between locations without worrying about the safety of your belongings. Some tourist spots may not be the safest, so it’s a good idea to keep your valuables and passports secure at the hotel. This way, you can focus on enjoying the experience without any concerns spoiling your mood or memories.
Melbourne is generally considered a safe city for tourists. It consistently ranks as one of the world’s most livable cities, with a relatively low crime rate compared to other major urban areas. However, like any city, it’s important to take basic precautions:
1. Pickpocketing: While Melbourne is safe, petty crimes like pickpocketing can occur in crowded places, especially in tourist hotspots like Flinders Street Station, Federation Square, and busy trams. Keep your belongings secure and avoid flashing valuables.
2. Night Safety: Melbourne’s city center and popular tourist areas are usually safe at night, especially around busy streets like Swanston Street or Southbank. However, as with any large city, it’s wise to avoid poorly lit or deserted areas late at night and travel in groups when possible.
3. Public Transport: Melbourne’s public transport system is generally safe, even late at night. Stick to well-populated carriages or trams, and be aware of your surroundings. Late-night services, such as trams and trains, can sometimes attract rowdy behavior, so it’s good to stay alert.
4. Weather Hazards: Melbourne’s unpredictable weather can sometimes pose challenges, especially in summer when heatwaves or sudden thunderstorms may occur.
Always check the weather forecast before heading out and stay hydrated during hot days. Overall, Melbourne is very welcoming to tourists, and with basic awareness, it’s a safe place to explore.

Arrive on time

Please arrive on time so we can respect each other’s schedules.

If you think you’ll be delayed, kindly send me a text at least one hour before the scheduled time. If you arrive late, we will only shoot for the remaining time of your booking (for example, if you’ve booked from 9:00 to 10:00 and arrive at 9:15, we’ll have 45 minutes for the session).

I recommend arriving a little early and maybe grabbing a drink nearby, so you can start your experience without feeling rushed. Keep in mind that traffic in Melbourne can be unpredictable. If you’d like to extend the shoot beyond the scheduled time and I’m available, the rate is $50 per 30 minutes or $100 per hour

How do I book a date?

When you click 'book me, ' you’ll be directed to my WhatsApp or Instagram. From there, you can let me know the desired date you’d like to book, and I’ll confirm my availability in response.

What happens after a photoshoot completed?

After the photoshoot, I will edit the photos and upload them to a cloud storage with private gallery page.

If you’re interested in purchasing all the unedited photos, please do let us know and I will be able to provide you with price.

Editing

I will do my best to edit your photos in a style similar to what you see on my Instagram and website. However, I may sometimes apply specific profiles of my own presets, depending on the conditions of the day—whether it’s cloudy, sunny, or overcast. I’ll choose the best edits based on these factors, which could result in 'Moody, ' 'Light & Airy, ' 'Vibrant, ' and other styles.

Kindly keep in mind that my photography style focuses on Lifestyle & Portraits. During the editing process, I will make adjustments to exposure, sharpness, contrast, and highlights. Additionally, I’ll perform cropping to ensure beautiful composition. I’ll enhance colors, vibrancy, and saturation while also may remove distractions, or messy hair due to wind or other elements that are easy to erase. However, please note that I will not remove people from the background, for instance, at Parliament, Flinders Station, Federation Square, St Paul’s Cathedral, Treasury Garden, Fitzroy Garden.

My editing approach does not involve altering body proportions or thinning arms, legs, or chin. I do not replace any body part, remove blemishes, scars, moles, or stains, unless they are easily removable. Additionally I don’t do wrinkles reshaping in your outfits unless it is a straightforward adjustment. Furthermore, I do not remove, reshape, or recreate hair (except in the case of bald spots for gentlemen, if specifically requested).

However if you want any advanced editing it can be arranged for additional fee. See below:

  • 1 extra edited photo: AUD $10 per photo
  • Pack of 8 extra edited photos: AUD $65

How long will the private photo gallery be available online?

Once you receive the link, please download your photos as soon as possible and I highly recommend creating a backup. The edited photos will be securely stored in the cloud for a guaranteed period of 6 months. After this time, I cannot ensure their availability on my hard drive. If the link expires and you haven’t downloaded them, and I still have the photos, a re-upload fee will apply to make them available again.
